DSDI lays wreath at Jefferson Memorial

On the 70th anniversary of the Jefferson Memorial in Washington, DSDI participated in the laying of wreaths at the monument.

Laura Belman, Governor General for the District of Columbia, presented a wreath on April 13, 2013, on a beautiful day with the cherry trees blossoming at the Tidal Basin and the Marine Corps Brass Quintet performing.

DSDI member Madelyn Sturgeon assisted Laura in the presentation. Afterward, DSDI member Catherine Ball, who is Flag Bearer and State Chaplain of the D.C. Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution, posed for pictures with Laura, Madelyn and the beautiful wreath.
