DSDI Represented at North Carolina Events
North Carolina DSDI Governor Sheryll Pope Albert represented the Society at several commemorative programs.
On Feb. 24, 2024 she presented the DSDI wreath the 248th Anniversary of the Moore’s Creek Battleground Association in Currie, North Carolina.
On March 15, she presented the wreath at the 243rd Anniversary of the Battle of Guilford Courthouse at the Guilford Courthouse National Military Park in Greensboro. The ceremony was hosted by the Nathanael Greene Chapter, North Carolina Society, Sons of the American Revolution. While at the national park, she visited the William Hooper and John Penn Monument, where their remains were reburied in 1894.
On April 12, she presented the wreath at the 248th Anniversary of the Adoption of the Halifax Resolves in Halifax. The ceremony was hosted by the Halifax Resolves, North Carolina Society, Sons of the American Revolution.
