Make A Payment or Contribution

Dues collections:
Annual membership dues invoices are mailed on or about January 1st. If dues are not received by the end of February, a late notice will be sent. Members not paying their dues by the end of the calendar year will have their membership deactivated and they will be removed from the DSDI mailing list.

Payment methods:
Forms of payment include Zelle, PayPal, or Venmo, or you can send a check or money order mailed to the address shown on the dues invoice or annual appeal notice. To submit a payment using Zelle, enter the email address [email protected].

To submit a payment using Venmo, send to @dsdi-1776. Zelle is the Society’s preferred method of payment because it doesn’t charge transaction fees.

It is possible to make a credit card payment without having a PayPal account, but PayPal does make it difficult because they want users to create PayPal accounts. Follow these instructions to make a credit card payment without creating a PayPal account.

Application fees:
For applicants, dues will not be owed and should not be paid until the application is accepted. Once that has occurred, please include your application fee and first year dues. Leave the member number empty, and include the name of the person the application was submitted for in the Notes field for both the Application and Dues payment fields.

Reinstatement fees:
If you are not a current member, there is a reinstatement fee of $45 as well as the current year dues of $45, or a total of $90 to be reinstated for the current year. Please contact the Treasurer or the Assistant Treasurer to discuss other payments that might be necessary for reinstatement.

Paying dues for others:
If you pay the dues for another member, please include their name and DSDI number when you make their payment, or we might credit the amount to an incorrect account.  This information can be entered into the Zelle, PayPal, or Venmo remarks/comments/details area.

Payment Portal Tips:
The only data the form displayed below validates is whether or not you have entered a correct member number. It does not check whether or not you owe dues. It doesn’t know if you have already paid your dues for the year. If you click the add button when your member number is displayed, it will add the default value (Annual dues) to the amount you are paying. Additionally, if you replace your member number with someone else’s because you want to make a payment on their behalf, and you click enter/return, it will add the default value (Annual dues) to the amount you are paying, even if the number is a junior member’s number. Junior members do not pay annual dues, but the form is just adding whatever option has been selected as the Payment Type.

If you need to check the status of your annual dues (find out whether they are owed or not), please contact our Treasurer or Assistant Treasurer
