DSDI Fall Meeting in Lancaster and York

About 40 DSDI members and guests gathered in Lancaster, Penn., October 13 and 14, for the fall meeting. Hostess Barb Greeley planned a fun-filled weekend of fellowship and history! Attendees enjoyed a welcome banquet at the host hotel Friday night and boarded the bus on Saturday morning to explore the colonial complex in York. After visiting the complex, which included the replica courthouse where the Articles of Confederation were signed, the group enjoyed a lunch meeting at Roosevelt Tavern. After lunch, the group trekked to the gravesites of James and Eleanor Smith and Philip Livingston for brief commemoration ceremonies. Saturday night concluded the festivities with a formal banquet, the society’s traditional roll call, and guest speaker.

Attendee Stephanie Nelson posted this message about the fall meeting on our private facebook page:
“Thank you Barb Greeley for the planning of this fantastic fall meeting. It is not an easy task, and I know my family had a lovely weekend and appreciate all you did to make this happen. We are so thankful for you and to be a part of DSDI.”
